My apologies my post is getting out late, but I hope you enjoy it. This morning started out in typical fashion with a lil Monks who had to make mommy and daddy aware of her pooping at 5am. So we had an early morning, but how can you be irritated at such a cute face? Once we got the monks all fed and in her cute lil outfit we headed off to CrossFit NWT while daddy headed to work.
Coaching with Auntie Jennifer |
Today's WOD was a rough one. It was "Jackie": 1000m row, 50 thrusters and 30 pull-ups all for time. With the assistant coach in tow, we were ready to rock the WOD. I finished "Jackie" in an even 14 minutes. The pull-ups are what got me in the end. We started out doing 3 at a time and ended up doing 1 at a time. The last one took all I had left to get my chin over the bar, but at the end of the day I can say I finished it! If you are looking for an incredible workout that challenges you on all fronts you need checkout CrossFit Northwest Tucson. http://www.crossfitnwt.com/ They are an incredible gym that has truly become apart of my family.
On the way home I had a very disgruntle Gwyn who wanted nothing to do with the car and everything to do with the couch. She cried so hard that she cried herself to sleep and almost brought mommy to tears. I hate it when she does that, I just wish she could tell me what she wanted and I could fix it. :(
Once she was home she was a happy lil monkey that could sprawl out on the couch and just chillax, which is what she does best. This allowed mommy time to get some work done and rest up for her run at Meet Me at Maynards. Which, for all you Tucsonan's, if you have not made it down town to this weekly event I highly recommend that you do. It is a super fun run/walk event held every Monday night. By simply walking you get discounts at all the great local eateries downtown. http://www.meetmeatmaynards.com/ Definitely check it out!!! I ran 3 miles this fine Tucson evening with my two girls Becky and Cassie.
It was the perfect workout to end the day.
When I arrived home from MMM the hubby had a simple dinner all ready to go. He attempted to make a piccata sauce that he served over pasta with Ono Fish and garlic green beans. He is pretty savvy in the kitchen and I love when he gets creative. He was not to happy with the sauce, but I thought it was tasty. I ate everything on my plate.
After dinner it was bath time for the Monks. One of her favorite spots in the house is on her changing table. It does not matter what mood she is in, once she gets on there she is all smiles. She is now smelling so fresh and so clean clean that she will hopefully give us another 7 hour night of sleep... One can hope :)
This day is coming to a close I am super excited that I got to spend it with some of my favorite people. So until tomorrow keep loving, laughing and living life!
Much Love,
Liz
